I am sorry, that I will not be able to attend our 30 years class reunion at the barn dance in Medina, Minnesota on Saturday June 26, 2004. My wife of 19 years, had two children from her first marriage. So when I married my wife, I became and instant stepfather, and I have never regretted it. My stepdaughter got married and had a daughter herself. Her daughter refers to me as grandpa. Which it feels real good to hear that coming from her when she stays over on weekends, and the both of us walk together to a park near our house, so she can play on the playground. My wife, and I have been living in North Minneapolis since 1991. We own a Princess Anne Victorian style home that was built in 1904. After I finished High School, I attended training to be a Painter, and Decorator. But decided to also a few years later to get trained as a cook/chef. Where I met my wife. After another few years I decided to work for a public school system. I have been with Eden Prairie for 17 years now. My wife is a chef in a goverment building in Richfield. She is now working part time, and is soon going to be retired full time. I was suppose to gradute in 1973, so I know alot more classmates from the class of 1973. My best friend who gratuated in 1973 from my parents neighborhood where I grew up for my first 30 years. We still are able to get together now and then to go out to lunch and talk of old times and growning up together. I only new a hand full of classmates from the class of 1974. I went to our first class reunion, and brought a girlfriend. That I was going to marry, until one of our classmates from the class of 1974 decided to give my girlfried a ride home with him, instead of her with me. It is a small world after all. The school that I work at , there has been a salesman, each fall of each year, for about the last 5 years or so, that I didn't know who he was, but I followed his orders, and help him do his job, until I was viewing the pictures from the 1974; 20 year class reunion that I didn't attend with my 1974 classmates ? I could not believe who I have been talking to, and working with for all those years, after getting out my 1974 class year book and looking him up. He works for a candy company which handles fund drives for schools. I remember him from Wayzata High School, but he wasn't one of my closest friends or classmates. I don't think he knows who I have been either, the last five years or so. I am so thankful, to of been able to met some of you all, while I attended school in Wayzata. Thank you, so much for always including me with your class reunions of 1974. A bit of history. My great grandfather, settled in Wayzata in 1854. My grandfather, father, and myself attended and graduated from Wayzata, but all different years.
