Life is good! I started a family a bit later than most, with our daughters Berit at age 3, and Svea due on Labor Day... My wife's name is Maren (a Nord, thus the children's names), and she is from Edina (cake eaters!) We met and live in Bend,Oregon purely for life style (mountains, rivers and lakes, forests that go forever, a cool town, a sunny climate, and a moderate winter). We ski, mountain bike, golf, kayak, hike and party. One ski town isn't enough however, so we spend as much time as possible in Teton Valley (and ski/hike at Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee ski areas). Berit began skiing this year, and has already proven herself as an adrenaline junkie (great...), and prides herself in skiing down from the top of the mountain using advanced skiing techniques such as pizza and french fry ski positions). After college, I decided to always find a job in a location that I thought was fun - so I started in Newport Beach, CA, moved up to San Francisco, did another stint in northern San Diego County, and then beelined it to Bend. I have always worked for technology companies (primarily computers, software and bio tech), and mainly focus on business development and marketing - but I'd rather be doing what Rob Ringer does - managing a ski area and golf course in Montana! That could be my next adventure...
