Thanks to the people who put together this web site and the reunion. Hope you all have fun. I work for a printing company in the Minneapolis warehouse district, and a fabric store in Crystal. Still live in Brooklyn Center. Still single and loving it. I can't beleive it has been 30 years since we were in school. I watched my youngest nephew graduate last year from WHS. Life have finally turned its "ugly" head away from my family. In May of 2002 my niece, who was 19 at the time, anounced she was pregnent. In July of 2002 my sister in law was diagnosed with brain cancer. On my niece's 20th birthday (Dec 10, 2002) my great nephew as born. Even with my sister in law in poor heatlh, life was good. March 7th 2003 my brother and sister in law celebrated their 33rd anniversary. 3 days later my sister in law fell in the shower, turning the water to as hot as it could get as she fell. She was burned so bad she spent a month at the HCMC's burn unit. She turned 53 on April 11, 2003. April 26, 2003 she died. May 29, 2003 my brother died (he was 53). This was 33 days after his wife. June 19, 2003 my great nephew was diagnosed with luekemia. He turned 1 on Dec 10, 2003. He died 3 days later. We sure hate those 3's. This past 2 years has been a wake up call for me and my family, on how fragile life is and how important we are to each other. My niece has anounced now that she will be having a baby in Dec of this year. I believe that Christopher helped my brother and sister in law through their illnesses. I don't understand why a child is put on this earth only to live for such a short time. My life for 6 months was spend in the hospital holding and playing with Christopher. I wanted to spend as much time as I could, since I was so "busy" with my life that I missed time I could have spent with brother and sister in law before the died. Christopher is keeping Grandpa and Grandma Smith company in heaven. (caringbridge.org/mn/christopherpeters.org {great site} for anyone who wants to see "Christopher's story") I hope every one enjoys the reunion. Keep your loved ones close and tell them everyday how important they are to you. You never know when they may leave this earth.
